It looks like we’ve had our last frost, and it’s time to start planning your spring garden.  Whether you want to plant flowers, vegetables, or change your landscaping, we can help you find the right book to get you started.

Tax Forms Are In

Uncle SamThe 2013 tax forms and instruction booklets have arrived!  Check the display in our lobby for the form you need.  If we don't have it, stop by the Reference Desk inside to see about getting one printed.  Also, if you want the freedom of an expert doing your taxes - for free - come see our AARP Tax-Aide volunteers every Tuesday, from 12:30-4:30pm.  In case of a crowd, arrive by 3:00pm and you're ensured a spot in line.

Take the ACT practice test, receive your results, and learn how to improve your score.   Presented by Kaplan.   Saturday, February 15, 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.  Register by calling 281-391-3509.

100 Best Books to Read

What to Read???Can't decide what to read next?  Amazon.com just put out a list of the "100 Books to Read in a Lifetime".  Let's get started!

Single?  In a relationship?  It’s complicated?  It doesn’t matter.  The week of February 10 is a good week to be daring at the Katy Library.

Take a chance, enjoy a blind date with a book.  Choose a wrapped book from our display, check it out, unwrap it at home, and start reading.  If it doesn’t work out, just return the book—no hurt feelings!                                             Promise!
